High Speed Chase in Herndon

By LilMsSapper

What appeared to be a high speed chase ended in an apartment community off of Sunrise Valley Drive in Herndon at approximately 11:45pm on Tuesday evening. Immediately chasing the Honda Civic were 5 Loudoun County sherrif's office cruisers, eventually followed by 2 Fairfax County vehicles, additional Loudoun County cruisers and 2 unmarked vehicles. One black male was detained by police officers while an officer and dog searched an area behind one of the apartment buildings, possibly looking for narcotics or other suspects.

The detainee was eventually released and left in the apartment community parking lot sometime around 2am.
