ExecJet USA makes private plane travel more accessible:  Philadelphia-based ExecJet USA, a broker for people who want to fly in comfort, in style and, most of all, in private, has just made this kind of travel a little more accessible to more people than those with incomes in the seven-digit bracket.

In short, ExecJet has given private plane travel its own "face book" on the Internet: JoinTheJetSetters.com.

Keith Omlor, president of ExecJet USA, explained how this online membership Web site, based on a social networking platform, should work.

“It is not for the average Joe. It is still going to be extremely expensive, but people need to and want to spend money every now and then. ... But 'on demand' lends itself to a greater number of people,” Omlor said.

“On demand” is one of the ways ExecJet's plan differs from the usual charter process in which individuals and corporations are locked into spending a given amount of money regardless of when or how often the flights are used. The clients in JetSetters only pay for those flights they actually take.

“This is a new marketplace for people who want to share private flights,” Omlor said.

Travelers who have a membership with JointheJetSetters can conduct searches to find people with similar travel itineraries and flights that meet their needs. Part of the process is completing a profile of the places one wants to go and the time frame desired.

“This creates a regional network and, as other people join, they would be alerted to people looking for the same thing,” Omlor said, referring to cost, amenities and destinations.

Omlor said the benefits also include lowering the environmental impact as well as the cost.

But mostly there is the lure of luxury.

“Without a doubt, it is an experience that if you ever have an opportunity to fly private, you will never want to fly commercial again,” Omlor said. "We can get anything from a helicopter to an air bus and anything in between."

For the most part, he continued, the interiors are very high-end, with leather seats that turn around and amenities that can include beds, flat-screen TVs, attendants and private catering.

"If you want cheese steaks from Pat's Steaks because you are going to an away Eagles game, you get Pat's Cheese Steaks,” Omlor said, referring to the Philadelphia eatery renowned for these sandwiches.

The menu, he said, also could be something as basic as crackers and coffee.

“But if you wanted champagne martinis, you could have them. You can bring your own food on board. It's your decision,” Omlor said.

Furthermore, depending on what the client requests, there could be a car waiting and someone to take the baggage.

“It’s all about valuing your time, whether it's leisure or professional,” Omlor said. "Flying private is an experience I would hope everyone in their lifetime would have a chance to do."

Cher Murphy is president of Cher Murphy Public Relations based in Vienna. She is one of many agencies helping ExecJet USA get the word to as many people as possible.

Murphy said ExecJet has flights out of both Washington-Dulles International Airport and Leesburg Executive Airport.

“For instance, a family of six may want to fly to New York. It's around $12,000 from N.Y.C. to Fort Myers, Fla.,” Murphy said. "So someone might want to have someone help pick up the cost by taking the flight back to New York and they will sell the tickets super cheap. Then there are the people who own two seats but can't use them and just want to get ride of them. Sometimes they sell for what they paid for them, but sometimes it can be extremely affordable."

She also said there is The Gift of Flight, a holiday gift certificate that can be purchased in increments of $10,000.00 and applied to travel plans to any destination at any time. For those looking to really put a smile on someone's face, this season, it may be just what the doctor ordered. Recipients will be especially delighted when they learn that the gift of flight is with ExecJet USA, which offers on-demand private jet and corporate jet charters. The company offers a no-hassle, no-wasted-time approach that has propelled their
popularity among travelers. Providing flights around the world, ExecJet USA's affordable charter services are all piloted by certified pilots who put safety standards at the forefront.  Prices vary by destination and
number of passengers on the flight.

“I sure wish someone would put a Gift of Flight certificate in my stocking,” Murphy said. "
